St. Pete has five fully vegan kitchens we could confirm, and most of them are on or near Central Avenue. That number was higher two years ago.
The fully vegan kitchens in St. Pete
| Kitchen | Where | What it makes |
|---|---|---|
| Nah Dogs | Grand Central, 18 22nd St S | Vegan hot dogs, from a cart that became a shop in 2026 |
| House of Vegano | Grand Central, 1990 Central Ave | Plant-based sushi |
| Valhalla Bakery | Grand Central, 2444 Central Ave | Egg-free and dairy-free cakes and square doughnuts |
| HaleLife Bakery & Bistro | Gateway, 11270 4th St N | Vegan and gluten-free baking with none of the top eight allergens |
| World Vegan Cuisine | Disston Heights, 3375 34th St N | A plant-based menu drawn from several countries |
Nah Dogs is the one with the best story right now. Jenny and Jeff Howe started it in 2019 as a cart at markets and festivals. They opened a small storefront in 2026, and the Tampa Bay Times reviewed it that August.
Vegan St. Pete restaurants that closed
Older vegan lists for this city are full of closed doors. Good Intentions announced its closing in June 2026. Golden Dinosaurs in Gulfport closed in January 2025. Cider Press Gastropub closed in 2024, and Freya's Diner closed in August 2023.
Two more changed without closing. Love Food Central reopened in December 2025 as FireWater Cuisine & Wellness, and it now serves fish. Plant Love Ice Cream still makes its dairy-free ice cream, and it now sells dairy ice cream beside it.
St. Pete rooms that mark vegan dishes on the menu
These are not vegan restaurants. Each one prints vegan choices on its own menu, so you do not have to ask.
- Craft Kafe is a gluten-free bakery with a daily vegan soup.
- Bodega on Central marks vegan and vegetarian plates.
- Karma Juice Bar & Eatery builds its menu around bowls, juice and wraps.
