Six restaurants on this site are tagged Black-owned. Five are BBQ spots and one is a soul food truck.
Six is not the real number for St. Pete. It is the number we could prove.

Why this St. Pete list is short
We only tag ownership when the restaurant says it, a named news source says it, or a Black-owned business directory lists it. A name or a guess is never enough.
The main directory we use would not load for us on the day we built this. So several places that are very likely Black-owned are not tagged yet.
The Deuces, St. Pete's historic Black main street
22nd Street South is called the Deuces. Heavy's started as a soul food truck and added a takeout restaurant there. LOVE22 opened on Juneteenth 2026 in the building where Lorene's Fish House cooked for 32 years.
