Gulfport is open. Eleven of its restaurants and bars are on this site, and most of them had to rebuild to get here.
Hurricane Helene flooded the waterfront on 26 September 2024. If you are reading an older Gulfport dining list, about half of it may be wrong.

The building at Hurricane Eddie's went up in 1925 and has been a bar for nearly a century, under one name after another.

The O'Maddy's Index
Gulfport measures storms by O'Maddy's. After Helene, the publisher of The Gabber, the town paper, wrote a note called "The O'Maddy's Index".
Gulfport away from the water
