Caddy's ran from a tent for more than a year
Helene buried Caddy's in sand. Milton tore the roof off days later. The owner told a TV station, "It was like a warzone." The bar kept going from a big tent while the building was gutted, lifted and rebuilt.
Ricky T's rebuilt for the next flood
Nine feet of water went into Ricky T's. The owner rebuilt it with concrete bars, flood gates and raised wiring. "We didn't want to put a band-aid on hurricane repairs," he told Bay News 9.
Pass-a-Grille: the Seahorse and the sunset bell
The Seahorse opened in 1938. The town gave it historic status in 2024, and it flooded months later. At Paradise Grille, someone rings an old ship's bell at sunset every day.
New on St. Pete Beach in 2026
Outside BBQ opened in February 2026. Frankie's Pizza Window opened on 3 July 2026 beside the hotel that replaced the storm-closed Postcard Inn.
Beach restaurants that closed for good
Woody's Waterfront took more than five feet of water, and after more than 35 years the owners chose to sell the land. P.J.'s Oyster Bar lost its lease after 18 years. Tuttorosso Pizzeria said on 1 June 2026 that it would not reopen.
